Rivals.com/Yahoo! has been preparing for National Signing Day for quite a few months in an effort to have 100% up time during the busiest day of the year.
Wednesday and Thursday's site instability was a direct result of "stress-testing" and "load-balancing" of the Rivals network throughout the midnight hours.
It will continue on a nightly basis through NSD. Yesterday's troubles after the test were not addressed as quickly as any of us would like. That will not be the case moving forward.
MUST READ: Friday night's most critical test will focus on site security. Every single Rivals subscriber will be [/B]automatically logged out at 12 a.m. CST tonight[/B]. Every single user will then be [/B]required to log back in[/B] with your [/B]username and password[/B] that you are registered with. That should be the only issues you will experience. Yesterday our tech team focused on the log-in issues and deployed all necessary fixes.[/B]
