I just got off of the Sun Belt Teleconference with Blake Anderson as he gave his final thoughts on Nebraska and initial thoughts on the Miami game. Below are a few key thoughts. I will have a complete write up here in a bit.
- Not into moral victories when you lost a game you had a chance to win
- They have extreme confidence in Justice Hansen and liked his performance
- Hansen did have a few missed balls that they will work on
- Receivers have to work on catching the balls that hit them in the hands
- Proud of defensive effort, but still have several things to correct
- Can't give up the big plays and have missed tackles
- Missed tackles accounted for an additional 175 yards and 2 TD's for Nebraska
- They have some communication issues in the defensive back end to clean up
- The speed advantage they had against Nebraska goes away against Miami
- Miami also has the size advantage
- Going to have to play perfect football to step up to the challenge of Miami
