I just got off of the weekly Sun Belt Teleconference. As always, here's some news and notes from Blake Anderson.
- Warren Wand has a sprained ankle. It is 50/50 on if he plays or not.
- Look for Silky White, Jamal Jones, and Chauncey Mason to get the reps if Wand can't go.
- There is a possibility Armond Weh-Weh could get some snaps this week at RB.
- Running back by committee if Warren can't go.
- The team knows this is a rivalry game and doesn't need extra motivation.
- They watched the film of last year's game, so the team knows what this game means.
- This is a game the team wants to win due to the rivalry.
- Anderson has been impressed with the way the offensive line has been playing in recent weeks.
- The interior offensive linemen have really stepped up and played well.
- The defense is starting to settle in and do their thing.
- We know what Ja'Von and Caleb Caston can do, so it's good to see William Bradley-King and others step up.
- A-State has one of the best pass rushes in the country.
- A-State has one of the best pass rusher in the country in Ja'Von.
- It's good to see the defense getting to the QB and creating stops in the backfield.
- Defensive line is beginning to allow the secondary to pin their ears back and go for turnovers again.
- It's great to get turnovers and points off of turnovers again.
- Saturday night's game was very physical. Several guys with bumps and bruises.
- Lafayette is going to have size and speed.
- Lafayette is going to be physical.
- Quick turnaround with this game, but the team knows what is on the line and looks forward to playing their rival.
