Brief notes from John Brady's media teleconference.

Team isn't shooting good enough and shoots too quick, they're not rebounding with conviction, and they're not tough enough.

Not the type of team he envisioned having.

This team isn't very good with heart, competitiveness, and toughness and that bothers him.

The inconsistency is mind boggling to him.

Maybe they're not coached good enough or have the leadership necessary.

Look at the schedule and it's been crazy. They've played four teams with byes before they played A-State, A-State hasn't had that luxury.

Team hasn't done enough quality play on a consistent basis to be any better than they are.

Team needs to examine themselves to help get better.

Going to try to do a better job of giving guys more rest. Would like to sub more for guys who are getting a lot of playing time, but he has to use what he has.

They play Thursday, Saturday, and Monday. Playing that much could have an affect on the team.

Team had Monday off. Started classes, and will be back on the floor today with a light workout, film session, and two hours on the floor.

He has to find a balance between playing the best players he has, and resting some of the guys who are getting a lot of minutes.

In league play A-State has the best record in the Sun Belt on their home floor, but they have lost two at home by squandering leads. They haven't played well at home with the lead this year. They are too selfish and shoot too quick.

This team hasn't found themselves.

Team hasn't played well at home this year, but he hopes to reverse that with a win on the road Thursday night, and with a win at home Saturday night.

More to come later once I get the full transcript in hand. These are just brief notes that I typed up while on the phone.
