I'm impressed with the way Butch Jones and his staff are recruiting Arkansas. The former staff used to take a lot of heat for not getting in-state guys on campus. Right now there are four kids committed for the C/O 2023 and two of them are from Arkansas.

There is a post floating around claiming that JD McKissic and another NFL player were arrested on drug charges. That post appears to be 100% false. There are no legitimate news outlets reporting this, I can’t find any mug shots, etc.

I’m addressing this here because I’ve had a few AState fans message me asking if I’ve heard anything.

I'm really starting to think that Group of Five schools are headed in a bad direction at no fault of their own. We are being relegated to the kids table, and the fire has been burning for a while now.

The free transfer rule was a 55 gallon drum of thermite.

Just look at Louisiana-Lafayette in football. They had a fantastic season last year and a young team that should have led to some consistency. Then they got gutted in the portal. I know we see a lot of kids leaving Arkansas State and we get up in arms trying to figure out what is wrong and who is to blame, but it is honestly happening all across the collegiate landscape.

I really don’t see how Group of Five schools will have sustainable success going forward when kids who stand out are going to be pillaged by the larger schools.
